Acceptable use policy
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses Opptix. Opptix is run by BASE 1 MEDIA LIMITED, trading as BaseOne, company number 07293735.
Outreach
You must not use Opptix to:
- send messages that break UK GDPR, PECR or the rules of the country you are writing to;
- send unsolicited marketing email to sole traders, ordinary partnerships or private individuals without their consent, where the law needs it;
- write to anyone who has opted out, or remove people from the do-not-email list to get round an opt-out;
- hide who you are, use a false or misleading sender, or leave out the unsubscribe line;
- send bulk, repetitive or high-volume messages that the recipients would see as spam, or work round the sending limits;
- send messages that are misleading, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful or discriminatory;
- pretend to be another person or organisation;
- canvass a public buyer during a live tender outside the route the notice allows.
Data
You must not:
- copy, scrape or export data from Opptix in bulk to resell it, share it with others or build a competing product;
- use personal data from Opptix for consumer marketing, for profiling individuals, or for any purpose not connected with business to business sales and research;
- upload special category data, such as health, religion or political views, or criminal records, unless you have a clear lawful basis and need it;
- upload data you do not have the right to use.
The service
You must not:
- try to get into accounts, workspaces or systems you are not allowed to use;
- test, scan or probe Opptix for weaknesses without our written permission;
- upload viruses or harmful code, or interfere with how Opptix works;
- overload the service, or use automated tools to use it beyond the ways we offer, including the connection for your own AI tools;
- copy, change or reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it;
- get round plan limits, credit charges or the once-per-company free credit, for example by opening extra accounts;
- share your sign-in details, or let more people use a workspace than your plan allows;
- use Opptix for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
Job seekers
If you use the job seeker tools, the information you give about yourself must be true. Do not use them to apply on behalf of someone else without their permission.
What we do if this policy is broken
We may hold or stop messages, pause sending, remove content, suspend or close the account, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
Reporting misuse
If you receive a message sent through Opptix that you think breaks this policy, tell us at [email protected]. Include the message if you can. To stop messages from a sender, reply to them with "unsubscribe" as well.
